Marvel Debuts Daredevil: Born Again Trailer at D23

Say the devil’s name, and he shall appear. Daredevil: Born Again and the rest of Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ original series were absent from Comic-Con 2024. But Marvel made it up to fans at D23 when the studio premiered the first trailer for Daredevil: Born Again. The footage has not yet been officially released online. But if these clips are any indication, fans of the first Daredevil series are in for a treat.

The common theme throughout the trailer is that Daredevil kicks some serious ass. Matt Murdock is back and he’s a force of nature. A few familiar faces from the previous show make an appearance, including Karen, Foggy, and even Wilson Fisk, the crime kingpin. Daredevil Season 3 apparently isn’t retconned, as Fisk knows Matt is Daredevil and isn’t afraid of him. They have a scene together in a diner that seems like an homage to Heat. And for some reason, Matt is wearing multi-colored Daredevil masks, including the yellow one from She-Hulk: Attorney At Law.

Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle/Punisher also returns in the footage, but he doesn’t seem to remember Matt. Frank also looks pretty rough from the last time we saw him in The Punisher season 2. More interestingly, the trailer seems to introduce White Tiger, another costumed vigilante. But as some fans online have pointed out, he could also be Muse, a more recent Daredevil villain. Both characters have white costumes, so it’s hard to tell.

Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Ayelet Zurer and Wilson Bethel will all reprise their roles in the series. Daredevil: Born Again will premiere on Disney+ in March 2025, with production on the second season beginning soon.

D23 was an eventful day. Marvel debuted the first look at the Human Torch’s costume in The Fantastic Four: First Steps . Star Wars: Skeleton Crew got its first trailer , Lucasfilm showed early clips of The Mandalorian and Grogu , and Pixar announced Toy Story 5 . Additionally, Avatar 3 got an official title.
