Manitoba weather: Poor road conditions causing schools to close

A handful of schools in Manitoba were closed Thursday due to hazardous road conditions.

The following schools are closed and buses canceled for November 21, 2024:

• Brandon School Division – There are no buses outside the city of Brandon. Alexander, O’Kelly and Spring Valley schools are closed. There are buses within Brandon. Attendance at schools is at the discretion of parents if travel is required.
• Division Scolaire Franco-Manitobaine – École Jours de Plaine, École Notre-Dame de Lourdes, École Gilbert-Rosset and École La Source are closed.
• Southwest Horizon School Division – All schools are closed. The staff is assigned to work from home.

As of Thursday morning, all weather advisories and warnings have ended for Manitoba.
