Manchester United vs Real Betis

Manchester United Men’s first team will face Real Betis in a Premier League vs. LaLiga match at the Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego on July 31. This will be only the 4th time the two clubs have faced each other in their long histories that each date back over a century.

Manchester United are one of the most widely supported soccer teams in the world. United have won a record 20 league titles and every major trophy in England and Europe. They hold the record for the largest soccer match crowd in U.S. history, with 109,318 fans attending a 2014 match against Real Madrid at Michigan Stadium.

United are led by Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes, as well as England star Marcus Rashford and Scotland national team hero Scott McTominay, both of whom came from MUFC’s youth academy.

Founded in 1907, Real Betis is based in Seville and is a three-time winner of the Copa Del Rey, most recently in 2022, after beating Valencia. Spanish star Isco Alarcon and world champions Nabil Fekir, German Pezzella and Guido Rodriguez headline the Real Betis squad, along with American midfielder Johnny Cardoso, who plays for the US national team.

“It’s exciting to be working with Manchester United again in San Diego after a successful inaugural Snapdragon Cup in front of a sold-out crowd in 2023,” said Geoff Jones, Group CEO of TEG. “La Liga’s Real Betis are going to create a fantastic second edition of the Snapdragon Cup and it’s sure to be an exciting competition. Tickets sold out quickly last year and we expect tickets to sell out again quickly in a passionate football city like San Diego.”
