Manchester City hearing: Pep Guardiola ‘happy’ with case to be heard from Monday

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says he is “delighted” that the hearing into the club’s 115 charges over alleged breaches of Premier League financial rules will begin on Monday, September 16.

After a four-year investigation, the city was charged in February 2023 and referred to an independent commission.

It is alleged that City breached Premier League financial rules between 2009 and 2018.

The city strongly denies all allegations and says its case is supported by a “comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence.”
