Man with area connection wanted for 2021 assault on NY officer

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The U.S. Marshals are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Benjamin Chapman.

Chapman is wanted for allegedly assaulting an officer with his vehicle in Ulster, New York on March 20, 2021.

Authorities say he has been on the run since then.

Chapman is described as a white male, 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 190 pounds.

Chapman has ties to Toledo, Ohio and Monroe, Michigan.

Reward money is available and tipsters can remain anonymous.
