Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen to sign Sporting CP winger Geovany Quenda.

According to a report from HITC, the 17-year-old winger is on the radar of three English clubs and could cost around £84million due to a release clause in his contract.

The young winger is highly rated by the Portuguese club and it remains to be seen whether the three English giants can convince Sporting CP to let him leave for a reasonable fee. It is reasonable to assume that they can ask a premium for their prized prospect.

Manchester United could certainly do with more quality in depth and the 17-year-old would be a long-term investment. He is still improving at the highest level and paying £84m for him seems highly unlikely.

Geovany Quenda would be an excellent investment

Quenda can play both as a right winger and as a wing back. With the right guidance, he could develop into a quality player for the Red Devils. Antony has been a major disappointment for Manchester United since joining the club and the 17-year-old could become his replacement in the coming seasons.

Chelsea also need more quality in that area, especially with players like Noni Madueke struggling to live up to expectations. It remains to be seen whether the Blues can pull off the deal. They would offer him plenty of first-team experience and regular football at Stamford Bridge could accelerate the Portuguese forward’s development.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with the player. They have the likes of Pedro Porro and Djed Spence at their disposal. It would be quite a surprise if they decide to go for the Sporting CP player any time soon. Spurs have other parts of their squad that they need to strengthen and it is unlikely that they will spend a premium on a player with a wide base.
