Man stabbed to death at Motel 6 at 540 North Milwaukee Avenue in Prospect Heights, police say

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, Ill. (WLS) — A man was stabbed to death at a northern suburban motel Sunday morning, police said.

The stabbing occurred after an altercation between a group of friends at a Motel 6 on Milwaukee Avenue, Prospect Heights police said.

The police were called around 2:02 am. When police arrived, they found a man with a stab wound. He died on the spot.

Police have not yet released any information about the victim’s identity.

The suspect remained at the scene and was arrested by police. Investigators say the suspect is cooperating.
