A police report obtained by WMBF News shows that officers from the Myrtle Beach Police Department were called to Celebrity Circle on Nov. 8 for the reported assault.

One of the victims told police that Odom caused problems with the staff at Sweet Molly’s Creamery, to the point where the staff called security and Odom was deemed a trespasser.

The victim reportedly said Odom then “opened a clear tube with a machete in it” and started waving it around. Odom also allegedly made “jerking movements” at him before turning and running away, according to the report.

Police were told the victim tried to pepper spray Odom while he still had the machete in his hands. The victim then pursued Odom toward 21st Avenue North.

At that point, a second victim said they were on a golf cart heading toward the entrance to Broadway at the Beach when they saw Odom and tried to stop him. This victim said Odom swung the machete at him but missed.

According to the report, Odom continued running and crossed 21st Avenue North toward Pelicans Ballpark. Another person told police they followed Odom and saw him throw the machete over the stadium fence before police arrived.

Odom was eventually arrested near the stadium, police said.

Records show Odom has been held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center since Thursday on a $300,000 bond.
