Man attacked by ex-girlfriend, high school Good Samaritan attacked

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA – Deputies responded to two separate assault incidents this week, including one involving a domestic dispute and another involving a local high school.

The first incident took place on Catherine Lane early on Monday morning. At 5:46 a.m., Deputy MN Sayegh responded to a report of an assault. According to the caller, her boyfriend was attacked by his ex-girlfriend during an argument over a cell phone. Authorities tracked down the ex-girlfriend and served her with an assault and battery warrant.

The second incident occurred Tuesday morning at AG Wright Middle School on Wood Drive. Deputy SC Hall, acting in her role as a school resource officer, was notified of an altercation around 10:30 am. Investigators determined that two students, who had been arguing and were about to fight, turned their attention to a third student. who tried to intervene and de-escalate the situation.

The two students assaulted the third student, prompting the filing of criminal charges of assault and battery.

Both cases remain under investigation as law enforcement officials work to resolve the incidents.
