Man arrested in connection with serious assault in Lisburn

A suspect has been arrested after a man suffered serious facial injuries in an attack in Lisburn.

The 24-year-old man was attacked on Saturday after an argument broke out outside a licensed premises in the Queensway area at around 1am.

According to police, a man assaulted the victim with a glass object.

Officers said he was in stable condition at the hospital on Sunday.

The arrested man is 21 years old and was arrested on suspicion of intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon with the intent to commit a criminal offense.
