Man accused of assaulting an emergency worker in Sheffield

A man has been charged with assault by punching an emergency worker in Sheffield.

According to South Yorkshire Police, the 24-year-old man was arrested on Friday following an incident in the city centre.

He was also charged with using a motor vehicle without a license or third party insurance, failing to stop when instructed to do so by a PC, and driving without due care and attention.

He was bailed to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on November 29, a force spokesman said.
