The wedding took place at Cavallo Point Lodge in Sausalito, California, a luxury resort set in a national park.

“Now, instead of saying, ‘Look, we’re getting married there,’ we can say, ‘Look! We got married there,'” Andrews told Vogue. “We’re so lucky.”

Malika Andrews and Dave McMenamin always wanted to get married in the Bay Area

Since Andrews and McMenamin both live in Los Angeles, the choice of a wedding venue was easy.

“We always knew we wanted to get married in the Bay Area, where Malika is from,” McMenamin said. “When we first got to Cavallo Point, it just felt right.”

Andrews wore a Grace Kelly-inspired lace gown custom-made by Brooklyn bridal emporium Lotus Bridal. She wore custom shoes by Jennifer Chamandi and diamond earrings by Jessica McCormack.

Meanwhile, Dave wore a navy tuxedo. According to Vogue, they had always envisioned a black-tie wedding. The goal was for him to stand out among his 12 groomsmen, all of whom wore black tuxedos.

Additionally, Andrews and McMenamin’s wedding featured multiple basketball references. In a nod to Mamba Day, McMenamin wore Nike Kobe 6 Protro Mambacita Sweet 16 sneakers to the reception.

The music during the reception was provided by D Sharp, the DJ of the Golden State Warriors.

“We were engaged for 21 months, so we had plenty of time to plan!” McMenamin told Vogue. The couple, who have kept their relationship private, wanted to wait through two NBA offseasons to have enough time to plan.

“In the run-up to the wedding, Dave and I were asked all the time if we were stressed because the big day was fast approaching, and honestly, we never were,” said Andrews, who is from Cavallo Point.

Former ESPN NBA reporter Nick Friedell attended the wedding

Former NBA champion Richard Jefferson, who currently works as an NBA analyst for ESPN, was spotted dancing to “Sweet Caroline” at the reception in a video posted to social media.
