Liverpool rivals Tottenham for £50-60 million transfer of “outstanding” Premier League star

Liverpool are reportedly showing interest in the potential transfer of Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze, who could be available for around £50-60 million.

The England international has performed excellently for the Eagles in recent times, and it is surprising that he has yet to earn a bigger move for himself.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool are candidates for Eze alongside Tottenham and Newcastle, and it appears Palace could be tempted to cash in if the money is right.

£50-60m seems a very good price for such a top player, with Palace chairman Steve Parish telling Sky Sports earlier this summer that he was genuinely surprised no one wanted to sign him.

Palace eventually let Michael Olise go, but they were able to keep Eze, which is undoubtedly good news for them, even if it may not last for long.

Eze is certainly too good to remain at Selhurst Park for his entire career, with LFC looking an ideal move for him if he moves in the near future.

You can imagine that Palace will be reluctant to lose Eze in the middle of the season, but it won’t be easy for them if big clubs come in with tempting money, while the player himself could also understandably push for permission for the move. .

Tottenham could be another good option for Eze as they are playing some good football under Ange Postecoglou and will certainly be one of the main challengers for the top four this season.

Speaking to Sky after the summer transfer window, Parish said of Eze: “From a club point of view I was really worried about losing Michael and Ebbs in the same period, and we didn’t have the interest in Ebbs that I thought we would have.” .

“I was amazed. Genuinely surprised. I mean, the man is just an excellent football player, an excellent person.”
