Liverpool have rejected a fresh bid from Nottingham Forest for goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher.

Forest had a £15million offer for the Republic of Ireland international rejected in February and have now returned to swoop in to land the 25-year-old.

However, the latest bid was rejected, with Anfield sources saying it was ‘nowhere near’ the value the club placed on him and that the club did not want to sell the keeper anyway.

Forest are on the lookout for another goalkeeper as interest in Matt Turner grows.

Bournemouth’s Neto has also been asked about in recent days.

Kelleher is highly regarded at Liverpool but has made it clear he wants more first-team opportunities after proving himself a viable replacement for Alisson Becker.

With the Brazilian out injured for part of last season, Kelleher made a record 26 appearances in all competitions, including being the star player in the EFL Cup final win over Chelsea in February.

However, former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp valued Kelleher at around £35million.

Liverpool have signed Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia, but he will remain in Spain on loan for the rest of the season.
