Live updates from day 1

Day one of the Elite 11 Finals, featuring 20 of the nation’s top 2024 quarterback recruits, begins Tuesday night in Los Angeles.

There are few higher honors for high school quarterbacks than being invited to the event, which celebrates its 26th anniversary in 2024. It brings together the nation’s elite signal callers for three days of competition, skills work and training, culminating in a 7-on-7 skills showcase on Thursday evening.

Each of the candidates was selected after delivering a top performance at one of the event’s eight regional feeder camps.

This year’s group includes 14 of the top 20 quarterbacks in the On3 Industry Ranking and nine of the top 10 passers in the country. On3’s national recruiting team of Chad Simmons, Steve Wiltfong and Charles Power will be on hand for the first throwing session on Tuesday evening and will report live throughout.

Live updates from Elite 11 Finals Day 1

8:47 PM PT: “Deuce Knight and Keelon Russell looked good throwing 8 routes and speedouts. Both showed living arms. KaMario Taylor was up and down, but had a really nice throw over the middle when it all came together. — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

8:19 PM PT: “Tavien St. Clair is by far one of the best to come through my station so far. Accurate accuracy of Ohio State’s pledge. USC commit Julian Lewis has had some hits and misses. UNC commit Bryce Baker continues to show a strong arm. Oregon is committed Akili Smith has a longer movement that leads to some erratic throws, but has had some solid passes when everything lines up. — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings

7:57 PM PT: “Just finished watching Husan Longstreet, Kevin Sperry, KJ Lacey And Ryan Montgomery. Longstreet’s arm stands out enormously within the group. 7:26 PM PT: “Longstreet talks to On300 WR Kelshaun Johnson every day. The family is okay with him being an Aggie. They think Texas A&M has taken a big step with 5-stars Kaliq Lockett also.” – Steve Wiltfong, On3 vice president of recruiting

He’s out here trying to catch passes.” — Steve Wiltfong, On3 vice president of recruiting

I did think there was a chance he would attend some games and see some teams play and attend some games.” — Steve Wiltfong, On3 vice president of recruiting

6:55 PM PT: Julian Lewis my prediction to win it. I think his consistency in these types of circumstances gives him the edge and he is just poised to lead Carrollton to 7v7 wins at the Auburn and Georgia team camps. — Steve Wiltfong, On3 vice president of recruiting
