The exhibition between stars from LIV Golf and the PGA Tour has a date and location.

An 18-hole TV extravaganza featuring Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau, announced last month, will take place on December 17 at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas, according to a press release. A time and broadcast details have not been released, although the event will air on TNT Sports. (Disclaimer: Golf Digest and TNT are both owned by Warner Bros. Discovery.)

The event is not the latest iteration of “The Match” (which previously visited Shadow Creek in 2018), but instead a new entity, with the four aforementioned golfers owning a stake in the venture. The new series will likely take place once a year and visit international locations every other season.

Scheffler caps off a career year in 2024, winning his second Masters, becoming the first player to successfully defend the Players Championship title and capture the Olympic gold medal in Paris. DeChambeau underlined the rejuvenation of his reputation with his second victory at the US Open in June. McIlroy has three global wins this year and Koepka – a five-time major winner – has two victories on the LIV Golf League circuit.

Details on the format have not yet been released, although it is expected to be a match play competition.

The event comes as talks continue between the PGA Tour and LIV’s backer, the Saudi Public Investment Fund, over the possible unification of professional golf.
