Little League District 24 All-Star 10s softball: GK advances to finals after Burke’s walk-off; SS progress

Kelsey Burke hit a one-out double to the gap in right-center to bring in Madison Pires, helping Great Kills LL pull off an improbable comeback from a 4-0 deficit to win 5-4 against visiting Snug Harbor on Sunday night. With this, she qualified for the championship of the Little League District 24 All-Star 10-year-old Softball Tournament.

No. 2 GK travels to Tottenville to take on top favorite and undefeated South Shore LL after SS defeated Mid-Island 10-0 in the other semi-final. The game was stopped after five innings due to the 10-run mercy rule. Winning pitcher Sam Caruso struck out 12 batters for the win.
