Let the voting begin! – Crescenta Valley weekly

By Mary O’KEEFE

Most registered voters should receive their ballot by mail. The state offers several ways for registered voters to fill out and mail in their ballot. The mail-in ballot can be returned to the LA County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s office (RR/CC) (the address is on the return envelope) or can be dropped off at the LA County Registrar-Recorder or you can drop it off at a ballot box nearby.

The boxes are screwed tightly into cement or chained into place; they are designed with safety features set out in national regulations and have an outer coating to reduce permanent graffiti or damage. Ballots are collected regularly by two election workers. LA County is working with law enforcement agencies, cities, local stakeholders and community organizations to monitor and secure all boxes.

Vote by PO Box are located at:

Montrose Crescenta Branch Library, 2465 Honolulu Ave. in Montrose; La Crescenta Library, 2809 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta; Dunsmore Park, 4700 Dunsmore Ave. in La Crescenta/Glendale.
