Leicester very close to agreement for midfielder compared to Modric

Leicester City have endured a difficult summer of transfers, losing a number of key figures at the club.

The summer began with the departure of manager Enzo Maresca from Chelsea, with midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall following the manager to Stamford Bridge.

The Foxes got their season off to an impressive start with a draw against Tottenham in their opening game of the season.

Now that the transfer market is almost over, they are looking for new players.

Although they have been linked with Wilfried Zaha, Matias Soule, Yaser Asprilla and Adam Hlozek, they have not signed any of them.

The latest signing is Jordan Ayew from Crystal Palace, who has joined the club on a permanent basis.

His arrival could be followed by the arrival of midfielder Bilal El Khannouss from Genk.

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported on X that the Premier League club have agreed a four-year deal to sign the midfielder, who was once compared to Luka Modric.

Leicester will make a bid of around £15-20 million to complete the midfielder’s transfer.

It is a much-needed addition to Leicester’s squad, who are in need of new players in midfield.
