Leicester reach agreement with Bayer Leverkusen over Adam Hlozek

Leicester have reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen over a loan deal with an obligation to buy for Adam Hlozek, according to Fabrizio Romano.

It has been a difficult summer for the Foxes, who lost manager Enzo Maresca and star player Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to Chelsea after winning the Championship title last season.

However, they have since appointed Steve Cooper as their new boss and brought in a number of new players to bolster their squad and give them the best chance of staying in the side next season.

Leicester reach agreement with Hlozek

The Foxes have signed five summer players so far, including Issahaku Fatawu, who made his loan move from Sporting Lisbon permanent, while talented Brighton player Facundo Buonanotte has arrived on loan.

However, Romano reported that the Foxes will soon sign a new player after reaching an agreement with Leverkusen for Hlozek.

He went to X.com and said:

“More about Adam Hlozek and the exclusive story of Leicester City. Deal 100% completed between #LCFC and Bayer Leverkusen for a total package of €20 million, including additional offers.

“Loan with obligation only if Leicester stay in the Premier League. Negotiations ongoing over personal terms.”

If Leicester can complete this deal it would be a huge achievement as Hlozek made 36 appearances in all competitions for Leverkusen last season, the club are unbeaten and have only lost one game all season, the Europa League final.

The 22-year-old is a versatile attacker who can play right next to the striker, in the middle and on the left flank, a versatility that Cooper is likely to find appealing.

Jamie Vardy is not getting any younger at 37 and players like Patson Daka have also failed to live up to expectations.

If Leicester are to have any chance of survival, scoring is vital. They could also do with more firepower, which they hope Hlozek can add.
