Lawyer for Mia Bailey’s siblings speaks about honoring the memory of murdered parents

“While we understand that many in the community would like to discuss the circumstances surrounding Gail and Joseph’s deaths, it is harmful to Gail and Joseph’s family and friends to focus on rumors, speculation and circumstances surrounding their deaths,” Brandon wrote Merrill. founder of Utah Homicide Survivors, which represents Bailey’s three siblings. “We respectfully ask everyone not to focus on how they died, but rather on how they lived. Merrill said the siblings are grateful to the prosecutor, who has since decided not to pursue the death penalty against Mia Bailey.

“The family would like to thank the community members who helped us process and clean up the pieces after this unspeakable tragedy,” Merrill wrote. “We would like to thank the incredible prosecutors, police officers, detectives, victim advocates, paramedics, firefighters and other public servants who sacrificed their time to stand with us, support us and grieve.”
