Lawyer for Many of Sean Diddy Combs’ Accusers Indicted for Alleged ‘Outrageous Plot’

A personal injury attorney who recently gained national attention by unleashing a flurry of civil lawsuits against Sean “Diddy” Combs is now himself the target of a new lawsuit accusing him of an “outrageous conspiracy.”

An anonymous accuser sued Tony Buzbee and his firm, The Buzbee Law Firm, for “blatant attempts to extort exorbitant amounts of money from him or otherwise publicly level false, heinous allegations against him.”

The lawsuit, filed Monday in Los Angeles, was filed by an anonymous John Doe, who the lawsuit alleges is somehow connected to Combs.

It alleges that Buzbee and his firm have “threatened to unleash completely fabricated and malicious sexual assault allegations – including multiple counts of rape of a minor, both male and female – against the plaintiff if he refuses to meet their demands for money.

“These baseless allegations are nothing more than a weapon in a calculated plot to destroy Plaintiff’s high-profile reputation for profit, despite the complete absence of any factual basis for such claims,” the lawsuit said.

The plaintiff, who is represented by Michael Lifrak and Mari Henderson of the law firm Quinn Emanuel, said Buzbee sent Doe multiple written demands alleging “despicable sexual misconduct committed by the plaintiff,” including falsely accusing the plaintiff of raping minors who were drugged at parties. hosted by Combs.

Buzbee then “immediately” threatened to file a “public lawsuit” against Doe, repeating “the same trumped-up allegations unless plaintiff agrees to resolve matters through mediation for money,” according to the lawsuit.

“Plaintiff is currently facing a gun to his head – or repeatedly paying an exorbitant sum of money to stop Defendants from widely publishing wildly false sexual assault allegations that would subject Plaintiff to defamation and cause irreparable damage to the reputation, plaintiff’s family, career and livelihood.” , or else face the threat of untold numbers of civil lawsuits and financial and personal ruin,” the lawsuit said.

The lawsuit seeks damages for racketeering and intentional infliction of emotional distress, and taking a page from Buzbee’s playbook, the attorneys are asking anyone with information about Buzbee to contact them.

Buzbee denounced the lawsuit in a lengthy statement to ABC News, calling it “not only without legal merit” but also “laughable.”

He denied demanding money or making threats, describing the letters he sent as “no different from those routinely sent by lawyers across the country in all kinds of cases.”

“It is clear that the frivolous lawsuit filed against my company is an aggressive attempt to silence me and ultimately my clients,” Buzbee wrote.

In a court filing earlier this week, prosecutors accused Combs of obstructing his own case while behind bars, alleging that “among other things, the defendant orchestrated social media campaigns that, by his own admission, were aimed at tainting the jury pool. pool has made efforts to publicly leak material it deems useful to its case and has contacted witnesses through third parties;

The filing cited notes from Combs’ cell that were found during a search of the jail. The contents of the notes have been redacted, but prosecutors said there is a “strong inference” that Combs paid off an unnamed witness who posted a statement on Instagram.

The government also accused Combs of using the phone accounts of at least eight other inmates at MDC-Brooklyn “apparently to avoid law enforcement scrutiny” and to make calls to people not on his approved contact list.
