In a recent interview with Tennis365, Dusan Lajovic spoke about the Big 3: “I’ve been lucky to play against all the big ones. I played against Roger at Wimbledon, I played against Rafael Nadal at the French Open and you play against the name and the player.

The day I beat Novak I was able to stay in the moment and not think about who I was playing against. That’s the only way you can win a match like that and it worked.” The Serbian praised Rafa: “Rafa without a doubt.

If you have a one-handed backhand, it can give you so much trouble with that topspin. It’s just a nightmare.

Ten years ago I played against Rafa at Roland Garros and that year he destroyed everyone, so there was no shame in losing to him.”

Alex Corretja, who won the silver medal in doubles with Albert Costa at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, said on Tuesday that the duo that Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz will form at the 2024 Paris Olympics is ‘the duo of the decade ‘ is: ‘There is no doubt that this is the tennis duo of the decade at the Olympic Games.

Everything they will bring, this energy, this strength, Rafa’s experience, which will be fundamental in helping Carlos understand what the Olympic Games mean, added to Alcaraz’s naturalness, youth and self-confidence, make it an excellent combination.”
