La Crosse Housing Market with Billings, GH’s Bockenhauer and Grantite’s Thompson

Discussions included whether a housing crisis is coming, whether it is still a seller’s market, where people can best buy a home in the Coulee region right now, and what the housing stock looks like.

Bockenhauer and Thompson will also host a first-home buyer seminar at 5:30 p.m. July 10 at Gerrard Hoeschler’s Onalaska office. Part of that conversation will focus on how potential homeowners can take advantage of down payment assistance programs in the area.

We also discussed how high mortgage rates are right now, where and when they might drop, and why some homeowners are not selling their homes right now because of those factors, and the thought process behind that idea.
