It will be the New York Knicks who will get the chance to watch the Boston Celtics collect their NBA championship rings on opening night of the 2024-25 NBA season.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the regular season begins on October 22, when the reigning champions host the Knicks in Boston. That game will be televised on TNT, followed by the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Los Angeles Lakers.

Another notable NBA opener takes place on October 23. Charania reports that the new Philadelphia 76ers will host the Milwaukee Bucks on ESPN. Also on October 23, the Los Angeles Clippers will play their first game in the new Intuit Dome, hosting the Phoenix Suns.
