Kate Middleton’s Sweet Reaction To Wimbledon Standing Ovation While Battling Cancer Revealed By Lip Reader

Kate Middleton received a standing ovation at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships on Sunday, and a lip reader has revealed her sweet reaction.

The 42-year-old Princess of Wales was a welcome guest at the annual Grand Slam match as she continues to receive treatment for cancer after being diagnosed in March.

She delighted fans when she arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis Club with her 9-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte, and sister Pippa Middleton.

Lip reader Jeremy Freeman analyses the moment Princess Catherine sat down next to her daughter as Centre Court erupted in applause and cheers.

Middleton had asked Charlotte to “come over here” as the couple went to their seats, Freeman told The Sun.

She then thanked the lady who had accompanied them into the royal box, before turning to the crowd to wave broadly.

The royal then said “hi” to the other spectators, before turning to the lady next to her and calling the crowd’s reaction to her appearance “so sweet”.

After the match, in which Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic in three sets, Princess Catherine presented the trophy to the reigning champion and the number two.

She shook hands with both players before presenting them with their hard-earned prizes.

Her outing comes a month after she celebrated King Charles’ birthday with the royal family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during the Trooping the Colour ceremony.

The Princess was joined by several members of the Hollywood royal family in the royal box during the match on Sunday.

Actress Julia Roberts and her husband, cinematographer Danny Moder, and actors Tom Cruise and Benedict Cumberbatch were all spotted sitting near the royal.

As patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, the future Queen, an avid tennis fan herself, has made a point of attending the tournament every year. She is often seen watching matches from the Royal Box on Centre Court.

In previous years, Middleton attended the men’s and women’s finals, presenting the winners and runners-up with their trophies.

Showing her support for the annual championships, her husband, Prince William, travelled to Berlin, Germany, to cheer on the England men’s national team as they faced Spain in the 2024 European Championship final.

The 42-year-old Prince of Wales, chairman of the English Football Association, also took Prince George to the match.
