Karate students compete in Funakoshi Chikara Martial Arts

The Funakoshi Chikara Martial Arts Academy was buzzing with excitement and satisfaction as karate students displayed their skills and dedication at a triumphant judging event held recently at The Bluff.

Sensei Abigail Sueltz took over the leadership of the club effective July 1. She expressed her sincere gratitude to all participants and their families for their loyal support.

“We are pleased with the dedication and progress our students have shown during this evaluation. Each student has demonstrated not only technical skill, but also the discipline and spirit that characterizes the martial arts,” Sueltz noted.

The judging event, a significant milestone for students seeking to progress in their martial arts journey, saw participants of all ages and skill levels test their knowledge and skills under the watchful guidance of experienced instructors. The dojo resonated with cheers and applause as each student received their well-deserved promotions, marking a new stage in their martial arts development.

Sensei Shaun, who has played an important role in the club’s leadership for many years, expressed his confidence in Sensei Sueltz’s leadership qualities.

“Abigail brings with her over 14 years of experience and a deep passion for martial arts. I am confident that she will continue to uphold the values ​​of the dojo and inspire our students to strive for excellence,” he affirmed.
