Karate stars from Kishou JKS Academy shine at JKS Nationals

The students of Kishou JKS Academy Springs recently participated in the JKS National competition and achieved success in several categories.

Students Chichima Sikhonde and Shamikka Pakkiri competed in the elite divisions, while the other students participated in the developmental divisions.

The results:

• Chichima took third place in kumite.

• Shamikka took third place in both kata and kumite.

• Hato Ndlovu demonstrated skill by taking third place in kata and kumite.

• Sisipho Gcanga took second place in kumite.

• Siyamthanda Gcanga took third place in kata.

• Katelyn Pretorius took third place in kata.

• Dylan Viljoen achieved a double third place in kata and kumite.

• Isabel van der Westhuizen took second place in kata and third place in kumite.

In particular, Chichima and Shamikka’s excellent performances earned them places in the South African JKS team.
