Both players reached their respective Hall of Fames and played the majority of their careers in Minnesota. Neither could bring a championship to their franchise, something Edwards and Jefferson want to change.

Jefferson has been with the Vikings since the 2020 season and has 5,899 receiving yards and 30 touchdowns for the franchise. Edwards made his Timberwolves debut in the 2020-21 season and is averaging 22.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists.

Both Edwards and Jefferson will need more time to reach the iconic status of Garnett and Moss, but early results suggest they are on their way. More importantly, both players have significant term left on their contracts, so a longer stay in Minnesota is to be expected.
