Russell Wilson’s new team picked up a win over his old team on Sunday when the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Denver Broncos. He was rewarded with a “petty game ball” afterward.

According to ESPN’s Brooke Pryor, quarterback Justin Fields said that head coach Mike Tomlin gave Wilson a “petty game ball,” a ball Tomlin gives to players after they beat their former team.

Fields also gave his candid thoughts on Wilson’s time with Denver in 2022 and 2023.

“I think everybody knows Russ got treated a little dirty last year,” Fields said, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazzette’s Jason Mackey: “I know he wished he could have played today, but it was great to get this win for him.”
