Jury deliberations in the trial of Leilani Simon

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – Leilani Simon, the woman accused of killing her 20-month-old son Quinton Simon, is on trial in Chatham County.

The jury will decide Simon’s fate on a 19-count indictment charging Simon with malice murder, criminal mischief, concealing the death of another and making false statements.

The jury deliberation started on Thursday around 3 p.m.

Around 5 p.m. Thursday, Judge Tammy Stokes dismissed the jury for the night. Deliberations continued just before 9:30 a.m. on Friday morning
