Julie Chen Moonves is not related to Chelsie Baham, despite the belief of some Big Brother fans

Big Brother 26 featured some strange online rumors, including many fans double-crossing with T’Kor Clottey.

Many Big Brother fans also believed that Julie Chen Moonves was related to Chelsie Baham, potentially giving her a huge advantage in the game.

The rumor that Chelsie and Julie were related increased when Chelsie called Julie “Aunt Julie” during several episodes.

Big Brother has a policy regarding family members of the production team not playing the game. That probably goes for Julie too, since she’s the face of the show.

If Julie were Chelsie’s aunt, that could be seen as an advantage, but the host also has little influence on the game.

Julie is only there for the premiere, the finale and the eviction evenings. She has no control over the outcome, even though she has been doing an excellent job as a host for over 25 years.

If it seemed like Julie played along with the title, it was because she understood what Chelsie meant. It was a positive sentiment. Who wouldn’t be flattered by that?

Chelsie had some kind words for Julie as she reflected on winning Big Brother 26.
