Jessica Simpson and husband Eric Johnson faced divorce rumors after ten years of marriage

Jessica Simpson and her husband Eric Johnson have been hit with wild rumors that their long-term marriage is in trouble.

The pop star and the former NFL tight end married in 2014 and share three children: daughters Max, 12, and Birdie, five, and son Ace, 11.

In recent months, Simpson, 44, has posted several photos to Instagram in which she wasn’t wearing her engagement ring.

She hasn’t uploaded a photo of Johnson to her Instagram page since April, and she hasn’t posted a tribute to him on his birthday last month.

Now a source has sensationally claimed: ‘It’s all but over. It’s only a matter of time before she files for divorce,” In Touch reported.

DailyMail.com has contacted Simpson’s representatives for comment.

Simpson and Johnson were last seen together in public in June, when they attended Birdie’s graduation ceremony together.

The singer was not wearing her wedding ring on that occasion, nor when she was spotted in Los Angeles earlier this month.

Simpson did not publicly wish Johnson on his 45th birthday on September 15, although she wrote a glowing Instagram tribute to him after he turned 44 last year.

Instead, on Johnson’s 45th birthday last month, Simpson cryptically reposted a clip of the Rev. Timothy Timberlake giving a speech on forgiveness.

“Forgiveness doesn’t change the person who hurt you. Are you listening to me? Forgiveness does not change that person. Forgiveness changes you,” he said.

“Guess what forgiveness doesn’t do? Forgiveness doesn’t mean you forget. One of the craziest theories is that you forgive and forget. You don’t forget, but you do have the ability to forgive every time you think about it.”

In contrast, after Johnson’s birthday in 2023, Simpson posted: ‘Eric turned 44 on September 15th and his family gave him all the love cells we have to celebrate his life. My heart is so occupied by this man that I can hardly call it my own…We love youuuu’.

However, in recent months, Johnson has been absent from Simpson’s Instagram page, where she posed without her engagement ring several times.

Last year, Simpson moved to Nashville part-time to work on new music after not releasing an album since 2010’s Happy Christmas.

Although her husband and children were able to spend the summer of 2023 with her in Nashville, they ultimately returned to Los Angeles for school, with Simpson splitting her time between the two cities.

“They helped me find a house (in Nashville), we all moved there, they picked out their rooms, stuff like that, but they’re in school so I got two weeks (in Nashville), two weeks at home she explained to people. “I’m back and forth a lot, so now they know what it’s like to miss me and I feel very loved.”

Simpson reportedly did not sign a prenuptial agreement, and rumors are swirling about the size of the settlement Lachey received in the divorce.

Ten years later, Simpson was asked about the biggest financial mistakes she made and replied, “For some reason I was thinking about my first marriage,” on CNBC.
