Jazz never seriously considered making a trade offer for Lauri Markkanen

The Utah Jazz have listened to several offers to trade Lauri Markkanen in recent months, but have never received an offer that caused them to seriously consider moving forward with a deal.

The Golden State Warriors, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder were among the teams that approached the Jazz for Markkanen. The Warriors were reportedly the most seriously interested in Markkanen, but Brandin Podziemski was a stumbling block in the negotiations.

The Jazz signed Markkanen to a contract extension on Wednesday, meaning he cannot be traded during the 2024-25 season.
