Jamison Gibson-Park ruled out as Andy Farrell names Ireland squad for summer tour of South Africa – The Irish Times

Andy Farrell has named his Ireland squad for the summer tour to South Africa, with scrum-half Jamison Gibson-Park ruled out through injury and Jack Conan left out for personal reasons.

Back row wife Ali is about to give birth to the couple’s first child and the Leinster player has not made himself available to travel. Ulster back-up Nick Timoney replaces him, while there is also room for his Ulster teammate Cormac Izuchukwu. Connacht’s Caolin Blade replaces Gibson-Park among the scrum halves, while Leinster duo Jamie Osborne and Sam Prendergast are rewarded for their performances at provincial level

Center Garry Ringrose is in the squad after returning from a shoulder injury in Leinster’s URC semi-final defeat to the Bulls last weekend.
