Jamie Foxx discusses the medical emergency of 2023 in the upcoming Netflix special

(CNN) – Jamie Foxx is ready to talk about the medical emergency that left him fighting for his life last year and has had the Internet buzzing with rumors ever since.

The actor previously revealed that he would tell the world what happened to him, but in a funny way, and now he is doing just that.

His upcoming stand-up comedy special called “What Had Happened Was…” will be released on Netflix next month.

It was recorded when Foxx performed the show in Atlanta last month. He was filming there when he was hospitalized with a serious medical complication in April 2023.

An official cause for the emergency has not been announced, but Foxx has hinted at the severity of his condition.

“What Had Happened Was…” premieres on Netflix on December 10.
