Jake Paul shares ‘concerned’ message from Mike Tyson ahead of Mike Perry’s feud with his team

Jake Paul has already been booked for his next fight ahead of his meeting with Mike Perry tonight in Tampa, Florida.

The social media star was scheduled to fight Mike Tyson tonight in a huge heavyweight clash that would have made history as the first boxing match to be broadcast on Netflix. But the fight was postponed until November when the boxing legend suffered a medical emergency.

Paul wanted to compete on that date no matter what, and brought in Perry from BKFC on short notice to keep himself active. But he’s taking a big risk against the former UFC star, who hasn’t lost since leaving the promotion in 2021.

Jake Paul admits Mike Tyson is ‘concerned’ about Mike Perry fight

Ahead of his fight with Mike Perry tonight, Jake Paul has admitted that his November meeting with Tyson is on the line if he loses. Even with the promotion of this event, his Most Valuable Promotions has not stopped ticket sales for the fight with Tyson and it is still expected to go on November 15th.

“He’s doing well, he’s back in training,” Paul said during fight week when asked about Tyson’s thoughts on the event. “He was worried about me taking this fight. He was like, ‘What’s Jake doing, that guy Mike Perry is a murderer.’

“He’s got some concerns, but Tyson. My message to you is don’t worry, I’m going to put this guy to sleep. This guy is a Mike appetizer and then you’re next.”

Mike Tyson to return to boxing at the end of July

The fight between Paul and Tyson was postponed when the heavyweight legend was advised by doctors in May to take a break from training. First reported by In Touch Weekly, eyewitnesses claimed the boxing icon was treated by paramedics aboard a flight from Miami to Los Angeles.

Speaking to USA Today this week, Tyson’s agent Andrew Ruf explained that ideally he’ll be back in training within the next few days. “Everything is going according to plan,” he said in a positive update ahead of the fight. “His doctor at UCLA, they’ve been watching him very closely.

“They are super happy with the progress. Everything is pretty much on track to get back to work by the end of July. I’m told that everything is absolutely on track and he’s on track to have no restrictions at all. His doctors, particularly Dr. Issa, don’t believe there will be any restrictions at all.”

Most Valuable Promotions Co-Founder Gives Mike Tyson an Update

Tyson has continued to make promotional appearances for his companies during his time away from training, and appears to be on the road to recovery. This has irked Paul, who, according to Most Valuable Promotions co-founder Nakisa Bidarian, questioned whether he would have been able to make the original date.

During a recent appearance on The MMA Hour: “He’s doing great and Jake is mad because he’s in Europe seeing life, performing and celebrating his birthday.

“And he was like, ‘I thought he was injured, what’s going on?’ I spoke to Team Tyson yesterday and they said he’s back. He’s not doing boxing, he’s doing strength training and conditioning and he’s feeling great.”
