Izamoje Excited about NRFF partnership

Brila Media has been officially announced as the federation’s media partner, as well as Flovale who will be working with the federation in the near future.

Debbie described Brila’s aim to be an ‘authoritative source’ in the rugby world and to diversify into various other sports, to meet the rising demand of a growing audience.

“At Brila, our core goal is to tell stories that are not currently being told well. And for us, we know that rugby has so much potential in the African market. We want to be top runners in the country and on the continent. We want to be the most authoritative source when it comes to rugby,” she says.

She continued: “We especially see that there is a younger audience that cares about rugby. And we have a brewing audience, a brewing young audience.

“We want to be able to offer them something that is not basketball or football every day, and this is very special for us in Brila.”

She expressed hope for a fruitful union between the federation and the media, and addressed gender equality in sports.

“We hope that the federation from the structure and the expertise that we have seen today, the brotherhood, I would say, continues to flourish in that sense.

“They’ve also talked about gender equality, which for me, you know, everywhere this gender inclusivity is in my heart. And for Brila, I just believe that this is the start of many more great things, not just for rugby, but even for other sports that are growing in the country.”
