IU went full staff for 2025 5-star Nate Ament on Friday night — watch his highlights – The Daily Hoosier

In a battle of heavyweights, Indiana makes it clear how much they want 5-star forward Nate Ament from the 2025 draft.

IU’s entire coaching staff — head coach Mike Woodson and assistants Kenya Hunter, Yasir Rosemond and Brian Walsh — gathered in Marietta, Georgia to watch the 6-foot-1 forward.

Ament played in an event called Power 24, organized by On the Radar Hoops. Joe Tipton of On3 reported the attendance of the entire IU staff at the event.

Woodson and his team also saw Ament several times last week during the Adidas 3SSB Championships.

When we spoke to Ament last week, he told The Daily Hoosier what he loves about Woodson.

“Mike Woodson is an NBA guy, he’s sent a lot of players into the league. It’s hard not to like a coach like that, especially someone with my stature,” Ament told TDH. “He’s a great coach and you love being coached by someone like that. I feel like he knows what he’s doing and would have a plan for me.”

Indiana is competing with schools such as Louisville, Virginia, Indiana, North Carolina, UConn, Duke, Kansas, Tennessee, Arkansas and Kentucky for Ament, who is from Virginia.

Ament told The Daily Hoosier he expects to visit Indiana in the coming weeks.

Woodson and Rosemond traveled to Atlanta from North Augusta, South Carolina. According to multiple sources, they had watched coveted five-star guard Jalen Haralson earlier in the day.

Haralson and Ament are two of Indiana’s top targets for the 2025 class.

This is the last weekend of the summer that college coaches can watch potential high school players, with the exception of the NCAA College Basketball Academy from July 23-25.

Below you’ll find Ament’s highlights from last week’s Adidas 3SSB Championships.
