Island Gift Guide & How to Get Each Item

If you want to befriend and eventually romance one of the villagers in Fields of Mistriayou will need to carry a lot of gifts. With all the items in the game, it can be difficult to determine which gifts will work best for you.

If your long-term goal is to woo Island, you have two options. You can give him all of your spare Artifacts, although there’s no guarantee he’ll be happy with anything you give him (I’ve done some experiments and he seems to be at least neutral about any Artifact I could give him), or you can reach your heart through his stomach.

Island’s Beloved Gifts in Fields of Mistria

As always, I will not include items on this list that are currently unavailableInstead, I’ll focus on items that you can and how to get them. As other items become available in future patches, I’ll update this list accordingly.

While there are a few Artifacts that fall under Eiland’s favored gifts, I’d suggest going through his stomach instead. If your long-term goal is to seduce Eiland, I’d suggest getting at least one chicken and one cow, as you’ll need their products, and leveling up your Cooking Skill.

If you don’t want to cook these or don’t have the recipes, you can probably find them at The Sleeping Dragon Inn, Balor’s Wagon or Darcy’s Stall at the Saturday Market.

What Not to Give Your Island in Fields of Mistria

Like all other villagers, Eiland does not like receiving the following items as gifts:

  • Waste, such as fibers, hay, cattail fluff or turf
  • All bugs

There are two things you absolutely must not give to Island, and they are both alive. If you happen to find a frog or a red-haired worm, Island will not appreciate receiving them as a gift. Frogs are a particularly sensitive subject, and if you give him one, he will reveal that he is upset by the story of the frog prince.
