IShowSpeed reportedly banned from YouTube after streaming stunt jumping over cars

IShowSpeed was banned from YouTube for two weeks after the platform allegedly violated the Active Community Guidelines.

Speed’s editor slipz posted a screenshot of Speed’s YouTube channel dashboard in response to a post showing off the channel’s dominance, and pointed out a sense of irony in YouTube’s current treatment of the account. While Speed himself has not directly addressed the ban, he stated on an alternate account on X that he is “charging.”

On August 3, IShowSpeed steamrolled out a stunt in which he jumped over his own Ronaldo-wrapped Lamborghini and followed it up with a McLaren. In edited clips, the footage contains a disclaimer warning viewers not to attempt the stunt themselves, but YouTube apparently didn’t like the video’s presence on the site.

The stunt itself is a follow-up to a video he posted in July in which he jumped over his speedy Lamborghini. On X, @IShowSpeedHQ said that Speed has appealed the ban and plans to keep fans updated as the situation changes. Fans have expressed confusion over the fact that the stream was already age-restricted on YouTube, but Watkins was still banned for the stunt. This isn’t Speed’s first YouTube ban, and given his account’s popularity, it’s likely he’ll face more scrutiny.

Footage of the stunt shows police vehicles in the background, which could indicate that Watkins went through all the necessary procedures to ensure he had permission to perform the antics. Since the ban was YouTube’s decision, whether Speed broke the law may not be their focus. Still, fans continue to point out that other creators like Dr Disrespect have engaged in worse behavior and haven’t faced the same issues, suggesting a potential double standard. YouTube has yet to address the issue.
