Disgusting footage on social media shows Irish football fans attempting to incite England fans by chanting a disgusting chant about former Queen Elizabeth II.

England celebrated a stunning 2-0 victory over Ireland in Dublin on Saturday, marking a convincing start to Lee Carsley’s tenure as manager of the Three Lions.

Former Ireland youth players Declan Rice and Jack Grealish were the goalscorers in the comfortable win, with Irish fans left annoyed as two of their former players scored.

Sunday marks two years since the Queen died at the age of 96, after 79 years on the throne.

There has always been animosity between the two footballing nations, who have only played each other four times since the turn of the century.

Thousands of people attended the Aviva Stadium as England dashed Ireland’s hopes of a famous victory over their neighbours across the water.

Now a group of Irish supporters stood next to a group of English fans who went viral after singing a disgusting song mocking the death of the Queen.

The crowd pointed at passing supporters and repeatedly shouted ‘Lizzie’s in a box’, while some England fans responded with gestures of their own.

Police were seen escorting the walking England fans through a designated area, but there were no signs of a physical altercation.

Viewers of the video were quick to react to the footage, which has now been viewed more than 200,000 times on a single X channel. Many reacted angrily to the chanting slogans.

A message that came back on the video read: ‘I’m Irish. These guys are clowns. There’s decent Irish & There’s decent English. Surround yourself with good people, no matter where you’re from.’

Another added: ‘Let them do what they want, if it makes their lives happier.’

England next play Finland on Tuesday, their first home game since their emotional defeat in the 2024 European Championship final.
