Infinite Novak Djokovic achieved a new impressive record

I borrow a famous expression from Johann Wolfgang van Goethe that the Sistine Chapelbut which fits perfectly with the essence of this article: “Without having seen what Novak Djokovic “As one did in Paris, it is not possible to form a good idea of what one man alone can achieve.”

And without analyzing what Djokovic did on the Paris 2024 Olympic Games he could really understand what a single man can achieve. When everyone seems to have given up on him, he still manages to amaze again, by achieving the result he has been striving for his whole life. Even the skies of Paris opened up on the day of his success, after the first few days of rain at the Olympic Games, almost to underline the sanctity of the event. The Serbian tennis player won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Paris, the last great result that was missing. In this way, Nole has literally won everything that is possible and conceivable on a tennis court.

Sometimes critics of Djokovic try to smear his legend in every possible way. Some even claimed in the past that Nole won Grand Slams only by luck or incidental situations. But the reality is very different: Nole won so much because he deserved it.

And this is confirmed by a new – again – impressive statistic that the Serbian tennis player has achieved. A statistic that has come back into fashion after the victory over Alcaraz. By beating the young Spaniard at the Olympic Games in Paris, Nole leads the head-to-head against Alcaraz 4-3. But not only that: Djokovic is ahead in head-to-heads with all other tennis players in the Top 15! He is 4-3 against both the world number 1 Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. There are clear dominances such as the 9-0 in the previous matches against Taylor Fritz or the 12-1 and 12-2 respectively against Grigor Dimitrov and Stefanos Tsitsipas. In short, an undisputed dominance, still, at the age of 37.

The Serbian champion has rewritten the history of tennis. Again. 24 Grand Slam titles, a series of endless titles between ATP Finals and Masters 1000, the Davis Cup and now also the gold medal at the Olympic Games. He has chased this result his entire career and now, in his last real chance, Djokovic has managed to win, giving the most coveted medal to his beloved Serbia. In the press conference, the tennis player made interesting statements, which also relate to the future.

“I was preparing to play my best version between Roland Garros, Wimbledon and the Olympic Games. Then the injury ruined all my plans, but by playing the final in London I understood that I had found my level again and that I could take advantage of my chances. I didn’t care how Carlos beat me in London, here I knew I could give a different performance. There is no greater motivation than fighting for your country, after winning the first two matches I started to believe in it and I knew I could do it. Winning in the semi-finals took a burden off me, I had the medal, but I wanted the gold. Alcaraz is the best in the world at the moment, a good person with great values and I am convinced that in the future he will win the Olympic gold, I played to raise my level and in the end I succeeded. I couldn’t be happier, the feeling I had when I won is different from any other victory I have had in my career,” he said.

Djokovic has rewritten history and reaffirmed his love for his beloved Serbia, having won both the Davis Cup and the Olympic Games in his country’s jersey.

As mentioned, a victory, namely that in the final against Carlos Alcaraz, with which the Serbian tennis player achieved the only success that had eluded him in his career until then. Marian Vajdaformer coach of the Serbian champion, wrote a post on his Instagram profile that was touching and sincere, accompanied by a photo of Novak Djokovic with the gold medal around his neck:

“Nole, the mission is accomplished. After so many years of sailing, you reach the coast. The long effort has brought you an Olympic gold medal around your neck. An extraordinary achievement, I am so proud of you. I burst into tears when you hit the last spectacular winning stroke in the final. Congratulations also to your family and all the members of your team!”
