Ineos Grenadiers DS promises that his team will “apply the pressure, fight for every opportunity and take risks” at the upcoming Tour de France

“The competition is tougher than ever, but nothing can be taken for granted in Grand Tour cycling,” said performance director Scott Drawer. “We are racing like the hunters and not the hunted this season and that brings its own benefits. Last month’s Giro was a perfect example of how we like to race as a team – turning up the pressure, fighting for every opportunity and seizing it. It’s the way we want to race in France in the coming weeks.”

“After a strong and consistent season, Carlos will lead the Ineos Grenadiers across France. Carlos has continued to impress us with his racing, but also with his professionalism and attitude on and off the bike. Alongside him will be Egan’s strength and Tour experience, with Tom and Geraint providing support, but also wanting to race aggressively, disrupting the race and bringing it to our competition.”

It is not just the four leaders who have their undeniable qualities. Laurens de Plus rode to 5th place overall in the Dauphiné. Michal Kwiatkowski is a rider who is capable of winning the toughest mountain stages, as has been proven many times before. Most recently during the 2023 Tour de France.

“Laurens’ climbing ability will also be invaluable in the high mountains, while Castro will bring his trademark selfless and stable presence to the team and help push the pace. And with all his experience and the Tour de France, Kwiato wins on own strength will provide insight, protection and seek opportunities on the flats and crosswinds alongside Ben, a popular powerhouse of a rider.
