“Under the EFF arrangement, subject to approval by our Executive Board, Ukraine would have access to US$1.1 billion. Board consideration of the Fifth Review is expected before the Annual Meetings. Our Annual Meetings will take place from Monday, 21 October to Saturday, 26 October,” she said.

Kozack added that during the fourth review, Ukraine’s financing gap for 2025 was estimated to be nearly US$26 billion.

She noted that the IMF team is in the process of updating its forecasts as part of the ongoing fifth review.

Background: The IMF mission has agreed to disburse a US$1.1 billion tranche to Ukraine. Additional conditions include tackling tax evasion, summarizing the activities of the independent supervisory board of Ukrenergo, Ukraine’s electricity transmission system operator, and conducting an audit of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
