Whoopi Goldberg and Raven Symoné on ‘The View’

Earlier this week, Raven-Symoné returned to The view where she told Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin that she still gets nervous when she sits at the table.

“As you know, every time I come here, I have to come to this job maybe 45 minutes early to say hi to everyone. And if I bring this up, I have PTSD — please don’t ask me any questions,” she said.

“But I love these cups!” she laughed as she took a sip of water. “Good cups this season!”

The comment prompted Behar to point out how the show has changed since then, moving to a more centralized focus on politics. But her former co-host disagreed.

“I used to get scolded a lot for not paying as much attention to politics,” Raven-Symoné replied.

But she’s paying attention now. “I watch it now for real entertainment,” Raven-Symoné said. “It’s absolutely amazing and there’s so many different ways you can go about it, but the one thing I wanted to say about it is you’re not sure who to vote for because certain policies work a certain way because yeah, yeah . There are some things I like about the Republican side and there are some things I like about the Democratic side, but ultimately I choose the person who best represents me as a human being to the rest of the world and how that looks like. “

The view airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
