Pakistani left-hander Mohammad Asghar has made it clear that he will not beg people to pick me even as he tries to revive his professional career.

Asghar last played domestic cricket in November 2023, but despite performing well, he did not get enough opportunities.

It must be noted that the 25-year-old played a key role in guiding Peshawar Zalmi to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) title in 2017, when he took figures of 3-16 in four overs in the final against Quetta Gladiators.

While he continues to look for opportunities, Asghar says he will continue to work hard because he knows his efforts will eventually pay off.

“I am not begging people to choose me for the PSL, I rather believe in hard work,” he was quoted as saying by respected journalist Saj Sadiq on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Pakistan team recently participated in the 2024 T20 World Cup and lost to the United States and India, but then bounced back by beating Canada and Ireland.

Although they won those two games, they failed to progress to the Super Eights.
