I need this Indiana Jones and the Great Circle inspired Xbox, but Microsoft has locked it behind a lottery

Microsoft has unveiled a rather fantastic custom Xbox console and controller inspired by Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

It’s honestly a great looking piece of kit. The console itself has an “aged yet beautiful design” in a gold hue. The controller, meanwhile, has a leathery look and gemstone-like buttons. As a big Indiana Jones fan, I wanted to get this kit yesterday.

But here’s the catch. Microsoft has literally locked this console in a puzzle box, and only if you solve the puzzle will you be entered into a lottery to actually win the console and controller. Oh, there’s also a chance to win one through some form of social media engagement on Bethesda’s channels. But otherwise this console and controller are not for sale. Sad.

Forgotten ruins, Adamic puzzles and hidden treasures await any adventurer up to the task in this clever and challenging puzzle. Fans and families can visit the Microsoft Experience Centers in London, Sydney and New York from September 12 to experience a stunning spectacle for the holidays. November through January 6,” reads an Xbox blog post about the Indiana Jones-themed hardware.

“What better way to experience the game than with your latest discovery of this console and controller? As you explore, decipher and untangle this puzzle, don’t forget to ask yourself: What would Indy do?”

This isn’t the first time Xbox has held one of its custom consoles behind some sort of lottery.

In November last year, Xbox announced a competition in partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures to promote the Wonka film starring Timothée Chalamet. The winners received a range of chocolate goodies, including a Wonka-inspired Xbox Series X and an edible controller.

Last year, it also hosted a giveaway offering some Xbox fans a pizza-scented Xbox Wireless Controller as part of a promotion for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.
