I don’t want to play it safe in Paris 2024

Sky Brown: Injuries are part of my story

Injuries are part of every sport and that is why the young Briton also wants to share that side of her story.

With regular updates and images on social media, she takes her fans on a journey with her transparent view on life.

“I think I want to tell the story more than the medal,” said the Tokyo 2020 bronze medalist.

“I definitely want the gold medal, but I think this is part of my story. I think it’s a cool story and I want to share it with the world.”

Although Sky is well on her way to recovering from the MCL injury that kept her sidelined, she knows she still has a long way to go.

“I couldn’t do a lot of things. It was a long wait and I couldn’t do a lot, but I made sure I worked out every part of my body that I could,” she told us.

“I did a lot of CrossFit physical therapy. I did everything I (could) to come back stronger than ever without using my knee.”
