I-90 West is closed after exit 57A in Hanover due to a crash

HANOVER, N.Y. (WKBW) — A portion of the New York State Thruway is closed Monday morning due to an accident.

The accident happened on I-90 West in Hanover. All westbound lanes between Exit 57 and Exit 58 will be closed beginning at 9:15 a.m. Monday.

Photos from the scene show cars stopped and people walking outside their vehicles as they wait for emergency services to clear the road.

There is no word yet on what exactly happened or the extent of any injuries.
